End of 2010 and a New Beginning

Hi Crafters,
I always look forward to this day and have hope, anticipation, and yearning for the new year!  By the 31st of December I feel like I have run out of gas but for some reason when I wake up the morning of the 1st of the new year I feel re-energized,  like anything is possible!   SO now the cycle begins again and I can't wait to get up tomorrow and start life over again!  A fresh start is how I look at it!  This past year has been awful for my family and for a lot of people and hopefully tomorrow will bring a fresh start and I just wanted to say "thank you" to any and all of you that follow my blog and hope I can show you more of mine and others ideas and talents to make either good times or make bad times go faster!  Having this blog has helped me a great deal this year!  I just wish I knew how to get more craft lover's to check it out!

Bless you, your families and friends and know that God is watching...

Happy Crafting and Happy New Year

Picture Perfect Glass Bulbs

Hi All,
I didn't get this up in time but here are some pictures of the Glass Ornaments I make every year for my kids with my grandkids pictures in them.  You can hang them on the Christmas Tree or you can buy the little hangers and set them around the house.  I have made them for graduations, Weddings, Anniversaries, etc.  My oldest grandchild is 15 now and I started with these about 10 years ago and I went back and did the ornaments for the previous 5 years so he will have a collection of approximately 18 Glass Picture Perfect Ornaments for his tree when he's old enough to move out on his own.  It's amazing how kids change from year to year and I use there School Pictures after they start school and then they really change from year to year!  Hope you enjoy these.  I do sell them too.  All you have to do is e-mail me the pictures you want in the Ornament.
The ornament is approximately 3 1/4", you can pick the color of the ribbon that goes around the ornament and for hanging it.  They also come in individual box's to store them in.  Cost is $9.50 + s/h  each and the more you order the better the discount per ornaments get.

Enjoy....
Have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year too, may God bless you in all that you do!

With warmth in my heart for the spirit of Christmas,
Happy Crafting,
Linn

P.S. These are for friends of mine of there children!

Cut DSP Jolly Holiday 8 ½” x 11” and then cut that in half to make two cards.
Take front piece of card and measure from top corner to middle of card at bottom, then score a line there, then score another one ¼” from the 1st one.  Do this on both sides.  Now measure the card side and mark it and score from the middle side to the score from the top piece and do this on both sides, now you have a large 2 lined “V” and ½ of a small one on either side of large “V”  see picture below.  Now sponge these sides after you have folded them starting with the large”V” going to the back then the next part folded to front and same with the little score lines. Use snail or sticky strip to hold these pieces together.  Stamp greeting on front top of card and emboss or glitter it and do the same on the inside on the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of very vanilla.  Take scallop corner punch and use on all 4 sides of very vanilla piece, then glue to inside of card.
Make some leaves from the garden green card stock and petals from the cherry cobbler card stock, place a pearl in center of flower and use a dimensional to place flower on bottom front of card centered to the point in the bottom of the “V”.  Sponge around the flowers pieces before putting them together for extra dimension.
